The Bob Feller Pitching Award program was implemented in 2001 by the Bob Feller Museum located in Van Meter, Iowa. The purpose of the annual program is to recognize outstanding Iowa high school seniors who have excelled as baseball pitchers in Class 1A, Class 2A, Class 3A and Class 4A. The four award winners were honored at the Museum in Van Meter and presented their award by Bob Feller.

The receipients of this prestigious award are selected using the following criteria:

• High school career statistics
• Overall athletic performance

Our four (4) 2006 Bob Feller Pitching Award winners are as follows:

Class 4A: Zach Von Tersch (Cedar Falls)
Class 3A: Joey Rozmiarek (Sioux City Heelan)
Class 2A: Jake West (Davenport Assumption)
Class 1A: Jake Samo (Lenox)
