The Bob Feller Pitching Award Program

The Bob Feller Pitching Award program was implemented in 2001 by the Bob Feller Museum located in Van Meter, Iowa. The purpose of the annual program is to recognize outstanding Iowa high school seniors who have excelled as baseball pitchers in Class 1A, Class 2A, Class 3A and Class 4A..

The 2008 receipients of this prestigious award are selected using the following criteria:

  • Overall athletic performance

  • 21 Career Victories, 18 Complete Games and 6 shutouts
  • 2008 National Letter of Intent to attend Marshalltown Community College

His fellow teammates and coaches voted Logan MVP in 2008. Logan helped lead his team to its first ever state tournament appearance. He gamered all four postseason wins to lead them to state and then pitched a 2 hit shutout in the first round of the state tournament.

Logan finished the 2008 season with the following school records for a season:

  • 12 Complete Games
  • 4 Shutouts
  • 91 innings pitched
